Joe Pat Hart

Joe Pat Hart was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Doole, TX, to Pat and Bertha Hart. He went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, TX at the age of 87 years.
He served with the Army Air Force during WWII. Joe married Lois Vrubel Aug. 20, 1974, in Clovis, N.M. He worked as a farmer before being hired by the Texas Employment Commission where he worked for 27 years until his retirement in 1980.
Joe Pat loved imparting wisdom of a humorous nature to his family and friends through his stories and jokes. He enjoyed woodworking, camping out, and anything John Wayne. Joe Pat was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife Lois Hart of Spade, TX; two sons, Joe Pat Hart Jr. of Copperas Cove, TX; and Steve Hart of Borger, TX; two daughters, Beth Epps of Bedford, TX; and Patsy Lowe of Branson, Mo.; ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
