Jerrel Don Easley

Jerrel Don Easley, 76, died at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 8, 2011, at Brookside Nursing Home in Madill, Okla.
He was born on June 15, 1935, in Fob, Okla. He moved to Skellytown in 1970 and retired from Texaco Oil Company in 1989.
He moved to Madill, Okla., where he enjoyed fishing and helping out people in need.
He loved working with his hands and was nicknamed “Handy Man.”
He loved being around his family and loved kids, especially all his grandkids and great-grandkids.
He never knew a stranger. You were friends instantly if you ever had the pleasure of meeting Don.
You knew all his great qualities, especially him being a loving and caring person.
Don loved going fishing with his sons. Nothing made him happier than fishing with family. He also loved animals, especially his little dogs.
Don’s best friend was his brother Ercy Easley. He told and did everything with Ercy. Don was Ercy’s fishing buddy.
Although Ercy was his best friend, he loved his sisters just as much and told them things as well. Ercy and Don picked on the girls a lot in good fun. What an amazing relationship Don had with his siblings.
Papa, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, he was loved greatly and will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Tinnie Easley; a daughter Jane McPherson, six brothers, Floyd Easley, A.B. Brooks, Tommy Easley, Bill Easley, Pete Easley, and Little Jimmy Easley; and five sisters, Ruby Hampton, Jewell Estep, Annie Ferguson, Claudie Stone, and Dorothy Evans.
Survivors include two sons, William and Michelle Easley and Donald and Donna Easley, all of Borger; five sisters, Marie Doyal and Jackie Tiller of Oakland, Okla.; Juanita Garrett of Madill, Okla.; Nita Fay Parrish of Powell, Okla., and Betty Easley of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Ercy Easley of Oakland, Okla., and Jessy Easley of Madill, Okla.; eleven grandkids, Whitney Easley, Joshua Easley, Thomas Easley, Justin Easley, Bret Easley, Sean Easley, Kellie Clawson, Danny Easley, Kendall Clawson, Johnny Easley and Alex Easley; three great-grandkids, Carter Jones, Benjamin Easley, and Braylee Jean; numerous nieces and nephews, and his surviving wife Barbara Easley.
