Jeffrey Scott Kay, 58, of Borger died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Blain Shelton of Grace Church officiating. Viewing will be Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Jeffrey was born Sept. 14, 1954, in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to James and Dorothy (Berry) Kay. He married Christine Benedict Nov. 21, 1981, in San Diego, Calif. Jeff was a Borger resident for the last four and half years, moving from Devine, Texas. He had lived in numerous places working in the retail business, and was the assistant manager at the Walmart store in Borger. He loved playing the guitar, golf, football, and listening to music.
Survivors include his wife Christine; his mother Dorothy Kay of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters; Holly Morris and husband Chris of Fritch and Jessica Kay also of Fritch; his son James Kay of Amarillo; his brother Jim Kay and wife Molly of San Diego, Calif.; his sister Audrey Kay, also of San Diego; three grandsons, Charles Morris, Skyler and Kayden Rasmussen.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his father, and his sister Sharon Diane Kay.
