Janet Evelyn Sells, 50, of Canyon, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2012, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in First United Methodist Church in Canyon. Burial will be private in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Janet was born Jan. 31, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri to Kenneth and Mary Louise Schlueter. She married Kent Sells on July 14, 1987, in Canyon. Janet loved animals, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, reading, and camping with her husband and in-laws. She spent 14 years working at TDCJ Clements Unit and was very dedicated to her work. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Canyon. Janet was looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth W. Schluester.

Survivors include her husband, Kent Sells of Canyon; a son, Kenneth Mikel Grabber of Amarillo; a daughter, Kristin Stefanie Singleton and husband Justin of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Natalie Cene Wilson and husband Paul and Erica Rene Shelton and husband Scott, all of Borger; her mother, Mary Louise Schlueter of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Kenneth Schlueter and wife Reggie of Ferguson, MO; a sister Edith Altom and husband Rich of Hazelwood, MO; 7 step-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-granddaughter.
