Hutchinson County United Way prepping for golf scramble

August 22, 2012

The Hutchinson County United Way is preparing for its fourth annual golf scramble.
The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the Borger Country Club Golf Course, located at 301 Broadmoor.
The format of the event is a four-person scramble ($180 for the team and $45 per person). Mulligans are two for $5. The event is limited to the first 24 teams.
Fun activites are planned on specified tee boxes. These include an activity sponsored by Golf Headquarters of Amarillo (new set of golf clubs for a hole-in-one), an activity sponsored by Country Chevrolet (a car for a hole-in-one), a 50/50 draw, and others.
Tee-off time for the event is 9 a.m. and the deadline to register is Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.
To get registered for the event or for more information, call 274-5662.
The theme of this year’s United Way campaign is “United We Stand”. Ninety-nine percent of every $1 donated to Hutchinson County United Way remains in the county and 90 percent stays to support the provider agencies.
“Your support can make a difference in helping our provider agencies,” Hutchinson County United Way Director Julie Winters said.
Pro Shop gift certificates provided by Provenance Consulting, LLC will be given to the first, second, and third place teams. A light lunch will be provided.
