Henry Alvin Brewer, 85, of Fritch, passed away, Sunday, December 25, 2011.
Henry Alvin Brewer was born Friday, September 3, 1926 in St. James, Mo to Pleas Franklin and Orilla (Foust) Brewer. He was a heavy equipment operator for E.D. Baker for many years. He married Emelyne Hormann Derr on December 23, 1994.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Juanita Brewer in 1992.
Survivors include his wife Emelyne; three daughters, Nita Trolinger and husband Gene of Fritch, TX, Shirley Watson and husband Charles of Fritch, TX and Linda Collier and husband Steve of Fritch, TX; his brother, George Brewer of Decatur, MI; three step-children, Marcia Graham and husband Gary of Farmington, NM, Leslie Derr and wife Judy of Gray, KY and Eddie Derr and wife Ginger of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch, TX with Pastor Calvin Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Brewer will lie in state at Brown Chapel in Fritch, TX on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 12:00PM to 8:00PM and Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
