Helping Hand receives generous donation

December 27, 2011

High Plains Helping Hand received over 2,200 pounds of food from Cub Scout Pack 565.

High Plains Helping Hand recently received a generous donation on behalf of a local Scout pack.
Prior to the Christmas holidays, Rob Marr, representing Cub Scout Pack 565, delivered 2,280 pounds of food to the organization’s headquarters, in addition to a cash donation of $236.48.
Carolyn Poindexter, who is with High Plains Helping Hand, said the donation will greatly benefit not only the organization itself, but those who are in need during the holidays and all year long.
“We got so much food,” she said. “We are so blessed.”
