HCUW to offer community focus grants

The Hutchinson County United Way is offering community focus grants to non-profit organizations.
HCUW is now accepting applications for this program. Any 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that is not currently a United Way Program Provider may apply for funding.
In July of 2010, HCUW gave community focus grants to the Borger Satellite Workshop, The Bridge, Buttercup House, Eastern TX Panhandle Red Cross, Golden Spread Council (Boy Scouts), High Plains Helping Hand, HC Child Welfare Board, and Stinnett Little League.
In November of 2010, grants were given to Buttercup House, Hutchinson County Crisis Center, Golden Spread Council, Boy Scout Troops 1581 & 680, Pack 565; Living Water Benevolence, Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains, and High Plains Helping Hand.
In January of 2011, grants were given to Borger Little League, Care Net Pregnancy Center, HC Youth Soccer Association, Stinnett Little League, and the Jerry Waggoner Foundation.
Applications may be picked up at the United Way office or emailed from and are due back by January 31.
