HCSO deputy makes drug arrest

A Hutchinson County sheriff’s deputy made a drug arrest in Fritch city limits Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday night, a vehicle was stopped in Fritch city limits on a traffic-related offense, according to Hutchinson County Sheriff Guy Rowh. The investigation resulted in a discovery of approximately 16 grams of a substance which tested positive for methamphetamine. Paraphernalia associated with controlled substance offenses was also discovered.
Arrested for the offense was Cody Brandon Walesiak, a white male 39 years of age, of Stinnett. He was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, greater than or equal to four grams, but less than 200 grams, a 1st degree felony.
Walesiak was transported to the Hutchinson County Jail and later bond was set at $50,000 by Judge Hart. Late Wednesday, he was still in custody.
An undisclosed amount of cash and the vehicle was seized. A Fritch police officer assisted in the search and arrest.
