HCHM hosting annual Christmas exhibit

Hutchinson County Museum’s Annual Christmas Exhibit is feature one sixth scale military action figures in period uniforms with weapons, and other scale models from the collection of Greg Thompson on display from from now through Dec. 28, 2011.
“I enjoy watching children as they view the collection with wide eyes and exclamations of golly and wow. I want kids to know that history is more fun than Facebook,” says Greg.
He is the son of Sam and Jeannean Thompson, long time Borger residents who owned Allstate Insurance and H&R Block providing insurance and tax services for citizens and businesses.
He worked in the family H&R Block Tax office from 1991 until he took over the business in 2000 when Sam retired.
In 2005 he and his wife Michele, office manager, moved the H&R Block office to 601 W. 3rd in Borger, the former Ms. P’s dress shop.
The Thompsons have two children.
