HCHM holding quilt show this July

This Orion Star Quilt is being raffled off during the upcoming Hutchinson County Museum quilt show, taking place throughout the month of July.

The Hutchinson County Museum’s 30th annual quilt show will be held on July 1-30, 2011.
All programs in conjunction with the show will be at 2 p.m. on their respective dates at the museum on 618 N. Main. There is no admission for the show but donations are appreciated.
The first program by Carol Aspaugh from Guymon, Okla., will be July 10, 2011. The next program will be by Judy Flanders, Julia Kasch, and others sharing antique quilts. Awards will also be presented. The last show by Gayle Wilson from Pampa will be a trunk show held on July 24, 2011.
The Orion Star Quilt Raffle will also be held during the quilt show. This quilt was pieced by area quilters and quilted by Gail Wilson. Proceeds will benefit Friends of the Museum. There is a low charge for tickets. Anyone wishing to purchase them can call the museum at 273-0130.
