HC3 drive set for July 26

July 8, 2014

The Hutchinson County Crisis Center is set to host its annual telethon in the coming days. This year’s telethon will help fight against all sorts of physical and mental abuse by auctioning off various items donated from organizations and local citizens.
The telethon is held once a year to raise needed funds for the HC3 program and to help child and adult victims of sexual assault and family violence.
According to HC3 director Norma Luginbyhl, “Hutchinson County is above state average on child abuse.”
This year’s telethon is Saturday, July 26, at the Johnson Park Youth Center. The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.. Admission for this event will be free and there will be door prizes along with a silent auction. Individuals bringing extra necessity items such as socks, underwear, cleaning supplies, old cell phones, etc. will receive extra tickets for door prizes.
