Hackett adds three late signings to 2011-12 roster

August 24, 2011

Frank Phillips College Men’s Basketball Coach Chris Hackett announced the signing of three more players before the fall semester got underway.
All three players give the Plainsmen depth underneath the basket and are expected to make an immediate impact in the upcoming season.
The three new players are 6’8 center Demetris Lafontant of Kissimmee, Fla.; 6’7 forward Patrick Elledge of Pearland; and 6’5 forward Kris Harris of Clinton, Md.
Off his new additions, Hackett said, “We were very lucky to be able to pick up three players of this quality so late in the recruiting season. All three have a chance to contribute right away and they add legitimate depth to our front court.”
For personal reasons David Hall was released from the Plainsmen prior to the start of the school semester, leaving the team’s final roster at fifteen players.
