Give blood on Community Awareness Day

April 21, 2012

Give a gift to those who need it, the gift of life, and learn more about the community in the process. May 5, 2012 is Community Awareness Day at the Borger Elks Lodge, 200 Opal.
The blood drive is a part of T.J. Whiteley’s Eagle Scout project. Citizens are encouraged to come to the give the gift of life at the blood drive with Coffee Memorial Blood Center. All eligible donors will receive a t-shirt.
Join the Elks Lodge and share a day filled with information on how organizations in the community help us. Also join Borger Fire Department, Borger Police Department, Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office, Kiwanis, MS Society, Hutchinson County Red Cross, Dr. Ammon Weber, Dr. Daryl Robertson, Dr. Hawley, Dr. Nash, Golden Plains Community Hospital, and others.
A bounce house, bean bag tossing, and face painting will be available for children to enjoy. Also hot dogs and hamburgers are available for people attending, so get them while they last.
