Give to America’s littlest heroes

Help our future veterans and give to America’s Youngest Heroes. Local veterans are getting together to help parents and other guardians who need help with baby items this holiday season. Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 404 in cooperation with the Thomas E. Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Amarillo will be holding a “ Baby Shower Drive” for the ”littlest heroes.”
The items collected during this “shower” is donated for use by the families of Veterans needing help thru the Amarillo VA Volunteer Services. All types of baby items will be appreciated, from clothing to baby powder, to bottles, help us to help expecting and/or homeless Veterans. VVA Chapter 404 provides Honor Guards for Veterans funerals, Scholarships, participation in Community events, Compassionate care and help for Homeless Veterans as well as other projects.
The “shower” will be Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2p.m. at the American Red Cross Building in Borger. If you are unable to attend but would like to help call Percilla Newberry at 857-0409 or Rose Peterson 857-3950.
