Garvin M. Line, 90, died July 31, 2012 in Borger.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Highland Park Cemetery with Max Sunderman, Son-in-Law from Vega officiating.
Garvin has lived in Borger for the past 87 years. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the China-Burma-India Theater and then went to work at Phillips Petroleum Co. where he retired as an Operator. Garvin was first a husband, father and friend, he was an avid fisherman, he loved music and woodworking. He was a member of the VFW Post 1789 in Borger and a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He married Lois Hutchinson on Sept. 24, 1942, in Borger.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lois; 2 sons; Ronny Line and his wife Jenny of Stinnett and Garvin Line, Jr. and his wife Karla of Columbia, Missouri, his daughter Beth Sunderman and her husband Max of Vega, 2 Sisters; Georgie Gillman of Amarillo and Nancy Blinker of Dallas, his brother Sam Line of Groom, 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice or VFW Post 1789 in Borger.
