Gale Edward Alexander
Born July 12, 1923 in Henryetta, OK and passed away March 31, 2012 in Amarillo, TX. He was a Borger resident for 86 years. Married to Marilyn Ann Ralston who preceded him in death in 2010. He was an Oil & Gas Producer for many years, a BISD School Board member and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Borger. A Graduate of Phillips High School and New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico. He served in WWII for the Army 371st Engineers from 1943-1946. He had two older brothers, Doyle and Keith Alexander who preceded him in death. He is survived by a younger brother, Stan Alexander of Oklahoma City, OK and a younger sister Wanda Jean Alexander of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his three sons and wives; Gary and Pam Alexander of Borger, TX, Curt and Vickie Alexander of Canyon, TX and Brian and Sarah Alexander of Victoria, TX. Grandchildren are Stacie and Todd Welchlen, Ben Alexander, Justin Alexander, Craig and Sarah Alexander, Kelli Alexander, Abby and Justin Javernick, and Elizabeth and Casey Reed. Great grandchildren are Reed, Marlee, Allie, Hayden, Lushon and Mayson.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Borger, TX.
Family visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger, TX.
Mr. Alexander will lie in state at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger, TX on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, PO Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
