The City of Fritch has finalized plans on its water usage.
City Council members agreed to authorize issuance of the city of Fritch, Texas waterworks and sewer system revenue certificates of obligation, series 2011 prescribing the terms and conditions thereof; providing for the payment thereof; awarding the sale of the certificates; making other provisions regarding such certificates, including the use of proceeds thereof; and matters incident thereto.
City Manager Bobby Lamb stated, â€śCity of Fritch has been working on this particular project to buy Hi-Texas Water for about two years.â€ť
He continued to say that as of Oct. 3, 2011, Fritch will take over the operation with a 30-year plan. All City and Hi-Texas customers will make payment at Fritch City Hall.
Fritch has a total of 1,300 water meters presently. The city will be adding 1,000 water meters coming to a total of 2,300 total water meters in the Fritch area.
In other business, the Fritch City Council also adopted and approved the budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2011 and ending September 30, 2012 and making appropriations for each department, project, and account.
They approved revised budget figures for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2011; and provided for the necessary transfers of funds between accounts and departments, if required.
The next regular council meeting will take place Sep. 27, 2011.
On Saturday, September 17, 2011, there will be a work day at the Fritch City Park from 8 p.m. till 10 p.m.
