Fritch driver involved in crash near county line

March 15, 2012

A Fritch driver was involved in a car crash near the Hutchinson County line Wednesday.
Around 2:16 a.m. on March 14, 2012, Deamber D. Neal, 33, of Fritch, was driving a 2001 Dodge pickup northbound on Highway 136.
The vehicle entered a curve in the roadway about three miles south of the Hutchinson County line in Potter County and veered off of the roadway to her right. She then overcorrected back to the left, causing the vehicle to overturn once and flip end over end twice before coming to rest.
Neal was not wearing her safety belt and was ejected during the crash. Neal was then transported by Fritch EMS to Northwest Texas Hospital where she is listed in critical condition with spinal injuries.
According to Gabriel Medrano, a Highway Patrol Trooper from Amarillo, alcohol is a possible factor in this crash, but the investigation is ongoing.
