Franklin Jordan

Franklin Jordan, 91, of Borger, passed away, Wednesday, November 23, 2011.
Franklin Sammuel Jordan was born Sunday, December 14, 1919 in Cushing, OK to John and Katie (Higgins) Jordan. He was a retired warehouse purchaser for Phillips Petroleum with forty years of dedicated service. He was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for sixty-five years. Mr. Jordan served his country as a member of the United States Army in WWII.
Mr. Jordan always had a quick wit, loved practical jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor. Franklin always had a helping hand for his fellow man.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary and two grandsons, Jessie Jordan and Ricky McNees.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Jordan of Long Beach, CA and Danny Jordan and wife Charlotte of Palmer Lake, CO; one daughter, Diana McNees and husband Doyle of Burleson, TX; one brother, Benny Jordan of Fredonia, AZ; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Services will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with burial to follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Jordan will lie in state at Brown’s Chapel in Borger, TX on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM, Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 8:00AM to 11:00AM.
