Frances Imogene W. Solarek Luginbyhl

Frances Imogene W. Solarek Luginbyhl “went home” Sunday, September 29, surrounded by family.  Family and friends gathered to celebrate her life of 87 years on Friday, October 4, at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.  
Imogene was born April 18, 1926 in Dallas, Texas.  She attended Woodrow Wilson High School, and Texas Women’s University, where she obtained her Master’s degree in library science.  She worked as a teacher and elementary librarian for 25 years in Borger, Texas.  Imogene was a very active in genealogy and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Genealogy Club, Colonial Dames, and United Daughters of the Confederacy.  She was also a member of the Beta Phi Mu Honor Society, and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Imogene is survived by 2 daughters, Sheri Valle, and husband, Rodney and Sharon Ennis and husband, Rick; 5 grandchildren, Zane Ennis, Eric Ennis, Colton Valle, Emma Valle and Benjamin Smith; 3 step children; and a sister, Emily Mordah of Georgetown, 2 nieces and a nephew.  
She was preceded in death by 2 spouses, Joe Solarek in 1977 and Robert Luginbyhl in 2008; parents, G. W. and “Muff” Whitfield and a brother-in-law, Lee Mordah.
