Odessa College rolled over the Frank Phillips teams on Thursday night in an NJCAA matchup, handing them their first loss early in conference play.
The Lady Plainsmen jumped out to a 7-2 lead early, with five points from Bohlar and two from Smith. Bohlar was hot early and hit another three off of a Lytle screen. Odessa answered with a three of their own. Lytle hits two inside, and Smith goes coast-to-coast for FPC, but Odessa had an answer for both field goals.
Swoopes drives for two, and Campbell gets two off an offensive rebound. She also scores on the next possession, and FPC is up by three.
With 7:40 left in the first half, Odessa takes their first lead of the game, and would never look back. The ball just would not fall for the Lady Plainsmen, as they go cold before going into the half. Bohlar, Rodriguez, and Sullivan each get a field goal before the half expires, but FPC is down 36-26.
Odessa did not slow down in the second half, as they open it with a three. FPC quickly finds themselves down by 15.
Sullivan has a nice offensive rebound and put back for two. Smith then finds Sullivan under the basket for a lay-in. Hale adds two, and Rodriguez a nice three point play, but the ladies are still down 59-38 because of Odessa's hot three point shooting.
Jeffries, Thomas, and Sullivan score for FPC. Bohlar and Thomas hit back-to-back threes, and the score is 81-63 late in the half. Thomas adds four more points and Campbell two to end the game. Odessa wins it, 82-69.
Bohlar, Thomas, and Sullivan all finished with 13 points for FPC.

The Plainsmen came out looking to ride the momentum of their big win over Clarendon on Monday.
Odessa would strike first, jumping out to a 6-0 lead. Two free throws from Scott are the first points on the board for FPC. McDew splits the defenders and drives for two and the first field goal for the Plainsmen. Two from A. Johnson ties the game up at 6.
Scott finds an open McDew, who drains a three for FPC. Odessa answers with back-to-back threes to go up 16-9.
Scotts scores four straight, and the FPC defense steps it up. Nelson hustles for a steal on the press break, which leads to McDew finding Johnson inside who is fouled on his shot. He completes a three point play to make it 21-16 Odessa.
Odessa scores a quick four, and Zivkovic answers with four of his own. Two offensive fouls are called on the Plainsmen to end the half. They go into the locker room down 30-20.
As the second half started, it was plain to see that it was just not FPC's night. Odessa scores four quickly. Johnson answers with a three, but that would be the last points the Plainsmen would see for awhile, as Odessa scores 12 straight.
Johnson completes a three point play and McDew hits a jumper, but the damage had already been done. Scott would add two, and McDew and Hill both hit threes for FPC. There was no coming back this time, as FPC falls 72-45.
A. Johnson led all scorers with 13 points. McDew finished with 11 and Scott with 10 for FPC.
Both teams will take on Western Texas College at home on Saturday afternoon. Ladies will start at 1:00p.m. with men following.
