FPC Dig for the cure honors cancer survivors

October 10, 2012

Frank Phillips College honored cancer survivors at their home game Monday night when they hosted the Dig For the Cure at the BCAC. Donations were accepted at both doors, and the survivors in attendance were presented with a rose and recognition in between games. Fans were all adorned in pink to cheer on the Lady Plainsmen, and the volleyball players wore pink ribbons and armbands to keep with the theme of the night. Pink sugar cookies and pink lemonade were served free of charge at the concession stand. It was a special night honoring those who have fought the cancer battle and won. The Lady Plainsmen also made it a special night by beating Seward County Community College in four sets.
