Former Bulldogs Garcia and Irwin take part in baseball all-star game

Back on Sunday, June 5, 2011 Borger graduates Brandon Garcia and Garrett Irwin participated in the Greater West Texas Baseball Coaches Association All Star Game held at Lubbock Cooper Field.
The game combined Class 3A and 4A players from the Panhandle area along with players from schools throughout West Texas to the Midland area.
Playing for the East team, Garcia went 2 for 2 at the plate with 1 single, 1 double and 3 RBI’s and Irwin went 3 for 3 at the plate with one single, two doubles and 1 RBI.
Garcia and Irwin combined for 5 of the East squad’s total 11 hits.
Despite the great performances by the former Bulldogs, the West team won 10-8.
