Fire at local business results in total loss

A fire at a local business on Industrial Boulevard resulted in a total loss early yesterday morning.
Bulldog Electric, 401 Industrial Blvd., was engulfed in flames when the Borger Fire Department arrived at 2:17 a.m.
According to Fire Marshal Jerry Langwell of the Borger Fire Department, six trucks were on the scene for almost four and a half hours after arrival in an attempt to extinguish the fire. Damage to the building resulted in a total loss. There were no injuries reported.
Langwell confirmed that the fire was not caused by suspicious activity, but the case is still under investigation. Firefighters left the scene at 6 a.m. and conducted an overnight watch to make sure the fire didn’t rekindle.
