The finishing touches are being put on Borger’s new Subway restaurant.
Frank Wingate, one of the operating partners of Subway, said they are in the final days of finishing the new location of the Subway of Borger.
However, there a few things that still need to be completed prior to its opening.
“It’s looking good, but we still have a list of things to get done to be ready for everyone to once again eat at the store,” he said.
Wingate said that hands-on training of sandwich artists will begin this week, and the restaurant will open as soon as they feel confident they can serve their customers properly.
He said there will be a special sign signaling the opening of the new Subway.
“When you see the U.S. flag raised on the flag pole in front of the store, you will know to come on in and eat Subway,” he said.
Wingate said he has appreciated all of the support from the public since the Subway location on Cedar closed its doors in May.
Wingate is an operating partner along with wife Sherry and Jeff and René Brain.
