urnovers were the story of the night for the Borger teams, who all fell to the Bushland Falcons on Friday night.
The Lady Bulldogs got off to a slow start, trading turnovers with Bushland. There was no scoring nearly three minutes into the game, when Prater and Urquidi had a field goal a piece. N. Embers scored the next four, and Loftis played aggressive defense and came up with a steal. N. Embers hits another three, and the Lady Dogs were enjoying an 11-5 lead. Bushland fought back in it and hit another three of their own to go up 12-11 after one quarter.
Dickson started the scoring for Borger in the 2nd with an offensive rebound and a put back. The lead would change several times, with Wood scoring four straight, but a three from Bushland put them up 21-17. Embers would score four more and snag another offensive rebound, but the Lady Falcons were hot behind the arc to go up 31-22 at the half.
Urquidi started of with a quick two to start the second half of play. N. Embers sank another three, and Urquidi completed a nice three point play to make it 35-30. Gillum put up two more for the Lady Bulldogs, but they fell behind in the third by as much as 11 points. Loftis hit a three, but Bushland answered. It was 46-37 at the end of three.
Gillum drives for another two to start the fourth. Francis hits a jumper, and Prater knocks down a three and a field goal for Borger. Bushland continued to score, though, and they win 59-49 over the Lady Bulldogs.
N. Embers led Borger with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and a steal. Prater and Urquidi both finished with 7 points for the Lady Dogs.
The JV Lady Dogs lost in their game as well, 37-25.

The Borger Bulldogs also started out slow against the Falcons. It was a defensive game for Bushland, as they held Borger to only 37 total points. The Bulldogs also committed 32 turnovers
Rawlinson started the scoring for the Bulldogs with an offensive rebound and a put back under the net. Landers gets it inside to Rawlinson for two more, but scoring was low for both teams in the first. The quarter ends 9-8, with Bushland on top.
Butler hits two free throws to start off the second quarter. Bushland hits a three to tie the game up at 12. Rawlinson hits another two inside, and Landers hits a three for Borger. The Bulldogs go into halftime down 22-17.
The third quarter was a nightmare for the Dogs. They committed 15 turnovers in the quarter, and went four and a half minutes without putting any points on the board. The Falcons press forced many of those turnovers and bad passes. Dickinson hit two field goals to finally get the Dogs on the board. Newton feeds a pass inside to Rawlinson who scores another two, but Bushland had already ran away with the game. They are up 40-24 in the third.
The fourth was a little better for the Dogs, but not by much. Embers and Butler were both good from behind the arc, but the Dogs could not overcome the messiness of the third quarter. Bushland wins it 52-37.
Rawlinson led the Bulldogs with 8 points, 2 rebounds, and a block. Dickinson had 7 points, 4 rebounds, and a block for Borger.
The JV boys couldn't climb back in their game and lost 69-60.
Both teams will play at Dumas on Tuesday starting at 4:30pm.
