AMARILLO, TEXAS â€“ Bike MS: Ride the Rim 2013, presented by BP, is an annual two-day, fundraising cycling event that raises funds and awareness for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Bike MS: Ride the Rim has changed course from the formerly known Bike MS: Wild West Ride route and will now encircle the picturesque Palo Duro Canyon. Taking place June 22-23, 2013, participants will enjoy a scenic ride making an impact on MS.
"We are excited to announce the new event name and route for 2013," said April Brownlee, Senior Development Manager for the National MS Society in Amarillo. "Palo Duro Canyon is an incredible destination for cyclists and we are looking forward to a weekend of camaraderie and awareness building to support individuals impacted by MS."
Bike MS: Ride the Rim 2013, presented by BP, will start and finish at West Texas A&M University on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23. All registered cyclists are required to commit to a minimum fundraising pledge of $250. Visit bikeMStexas.org to register to ride, form a team, volunteer or make a donation.
Bike MS is geared to riders aged 12 years and older and various cycling levels â€“ novice to more experienced. Additionally, the National MS Society depends on committed volunteers to ensure Bike MS is an enjoyable and well-managed event.
