Engler and Garcia plead guilty

AMARILLO, Texas — Dustin Engler and Raphael Garcia, Jr., both of Borger, Texas, have each pleaded guilty in federal court in Amarillo, Texas, to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Each defendant faces a maximum statutory sentence of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
Since their arrests by agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), each has remained in custody.
Sentencings have been set for mid-January 2012, before U.S. District Judge Mary Lou Robinson. The announcement was made today by U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Saldaña of the Northern District of Texas.
