LUBBOCK - Edith Luellen Noble, 96, formerly of Skellytown, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas, with Reverend Sam Line of Groom Church of Christ officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Noble was born Feb. 8, 1915, in Sallisaw, Okla., to Ernest E. and Myra E. Hutchinson. In 1925, her family moved close to Spring Creek, Texas. She married Ira Noble, July 14, 1930 in Pampa. They lived and raised their family in Skellytown, Texas. Mrs. Noble was a member of the Skellytown Rebecca Lodge. In 1970, she and her husband moved to Sanford, Texas, where she was a member of Sanford Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, J. Ethan Noble and wife Joyce of Lubbock, Texas, Benny E. Noble and wife Othella of South Fork, Colorado, Carroll D. Noble and wife Sharon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Travis G Noble and wife Eva of Miami, Texas; two sisters; Lois Line and husband Garvin of Buena Vista, Texas, and Lola Huckins and husband Norvel of Skellytown; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Noble was preceded in death by her husband Ira, February 25, 1996; a son, Jimmy Wayne Noble in 1935; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 grandson, and 2 great granddaughters.
