Donald Wayne Williams, 83, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Borger.  Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at 1st Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Goodnight, former Pastor of 1st Baptist Church in Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Don was born June 8, 1931 in Roberta, OK to Robert P. and Maude Youree Williams.  Don married Robbie Beal on Nov. 6, 1951 in DeQueen, Arkansas. He was a deacon at the 1st Baptist Church and formerly a member of the Phillips Lions Club, served on the Phillips School Board, and was a director at Pantex Federal Credit Union. Don loved his family, playing golf, gardening and landscaping, fixing and tinkering with everything he especially enjoyed his school reunions at Blue, OK.
Don was preceded in death by his son, Michael Don Williams, in 1973, his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Robbie; his son, Steve Williams and his wife, Charlotte of Borger; his daughter, Nancy Floyd and her husband, Mike of Amarillo; five grandchildren: Mark and wife, Kara; Marcy, Anna, Benjamin and his wife, Deborah, and Eli. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Max, Piper, Isaac and Jesse.
Casket bearers will be Mark Floyd, Benjamin Williams, Eli Williams, Deborah Williams, Marcy Floyd and Anna Floyd.
The family requested donations be made to 1st Baptist Church Kitchen Renovation, 100 S. Hedgecoke, Borger, TX 79007.
