FRITCH - Donald F. “Sailor” Depew Jr., 58, of Fritch, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012.
A celebration of life will be from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Harley Acres located on highway 136 between Fritch and Borger. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Donald was born June 4, 1954 in Rockville, Maryland to Donald and Dorothy (Brewer) Depew. He served his country in the United States Navy in Vietnam, and was a motorcycle mechanic most of his life. Sailor was former Commander of the VFW post #1789 in Borger, and loved to ride his motorcycle, play the guitar, camping, traveling, watching John Wayne movies, and hanging out with his friends. He was also in the process of completing his pilot’s license.
Survivors include his wife Peggy of the home; daughter Jennifer Fulgham of Amarillo; step-daughter Lisa Fritch of Grandview, Washington; brother John Depew of Amarillo, and four grandchildren, Taylor, Trevor, Trentin, and Kristen Fulgham, all of Amarillo.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Jack Depew.
