Don Rice to celebrate 50 years with BNH

January 5, 2012

Don Rice (then and now) is celebrating 50 years with the Borger News-Herald this March. A special section highlighting his time with the paper will be published in late March.

One of the most familiar faces of the Borger News-Herald is celebrating a significant milestone this year!
Don Rice will be celebrating 50 years as the photographer for the BNH this March. He came to work for the paper in 1962.
In his honor, the BNH is doing a special section featuring some of his most prominent photos from the decades he has been on staff here. However, the BNH plans to take it one step further, and this will require help from you!
We are looking for some people to share their memories of Don, whether it be through having known him personally, or if there is a picture he has taken that has special meaning to someone. We plan on publishing people’s responses in one part of this special section, which will be a three-part section coming out around the end of March. They can be as short or as long as you wish.
Entries for this special section will be accepted in handwriting or typewritten format, and can be dropped off at the Borger News-Herald offices. Entries can also be emailed to editor@borgernewsherald.com or feature@borgernewsherald.com.
All entries for this special section must be turned in by the close of business on Monday, February 27. We appreciate your participation!
