BOSTON, MA – D. Bernadine Nicholas, 91, died Sunday, April 24, 2011. A funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, April 29 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Bernadine Nicholas died at home on Easter morning, April 24, 2011. Mrs. Nicholas, a longtime resident of Borger, Texas, moved to Boston in September 2006. Dorothy Bernadine Nicholas was born November 11, 1919, in Hoisington, Kansas. She was the seventh child of Martin Ellis Field and Mercy Elizabeth (Wilson) Field. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gerald Graydon Nicholas; a son Michael Graydon Nicholas; and a daughter Janet Lynn Beene. Survivors include a daughter, Rae Jean Wiggins and son-in-law, Glenn Wiggins of Boston; five grandchildren, Victor and Katy Nicholas of Philadelphia and Boston; Whitney and Kris Terrill of Houston; Jordan Beene of Dallas; Alexandra Nicholas of Austin; and Christine Nicholas of Chicago; and two great-grandchildren; Katelyn Diane Nicholas, John Nicholas Terrill. Mrs. Nicholas will be laid to rest with her husband and son on April 29, 2011, in Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
