County remains free of burn ban

Hutchinson County will remain free of a burn ban.
On the Hutchinson County Commissioners Court met for a regular meeting at the Hutchinson County Courthouse to discuss the ban.
Hutchinson County Fire Marshal Danny Richards spoke to the commissioners, recommending “that we hold what we have. To continue to not have the burn ban,” he said.
The burn ban was lifted on Nov. 21, 2011 and will continue to stay that way, after the commissioners took no action on the item.
In other business, the commissioners approved the abatement procedures to make the properties secure and to community standards at 138 Buffalo Trail and 113 Arapahoe Road, and paying Holvey Commercial Janitorial twice a month for for cleaning services at the County Annex, libraries, and museum for a total of $24,234 yearly.
The commissioners also approved the motion made by Sheriff Guy Rowh to fix the Hutchinson County Jail roof for $1,725.
