Commissioner’s court takes care of business

March 30, 2011

The Hutchinson County Commissioners Court took care of business at its regular meeting Monday at the Hutchinson County Courthouse.
At this meeting the commissioners discussed considering or approving the action regarding redistricting and a letter from Allison Bass & Associates L.L.P. concerning assessment of the existing political boundaries.
The motion was made to leave existing boundaries as they are and to not move forward with redistricting and the motion followed through.
Also approved was the West Texas Gas line crossing for County Road 13, Precinct 3.
The commissioners accepted certificates of completion from elected or appointed officials Larry Coffman, Jerry Hefner, and S.T. Isbell for the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas. Commissioners Coffman and Eddie Whittington submitted certificates of completion for a course in Panhandle County Judges and Commissioners training. Robin Stroud, district clerk, had completed a course in registry of the court.
