DALHART-On Friday night, the Borger Bulldogs overcame two early turnovers and 120 yards in penalties and scored 13 unanswered fourth quarter points to get the 20-19 win over the Dalhart Golden Wolves in District 1-3A action.
The Bulldogs’ defense shut down the Wolves in the fourth quarter, limiting them to just two yards of total offense. The Bulldogs’ offense responded with senior running back Ty Brown scoring two touchdowns in the final six minutes to get the win and keep the team undefeated in district play.
The win takes Borger to 5-4 overall for the season and 2-0 in District 1-3A play. The win also secured the Bulldogs a playoff spot. However, the team will have to wait until next week to see if they will compete in the 3A Division I or Division II playoffs.
The Bulldogs will play in their final home game of the season next Friday hosting the Perryton Rangers.
