Comanches and Lady Bulldogs open district play on the road

After tonight, the Borger Bulldogs and Sanford-Fritch Eagles boys basketball teams will be the only Hutchinson County basketball teams waiting to get district basketball play underway.
After making it through a tough non-district schedule, the Borger Lady Bulldogs begin District 1-3A play tonight taking on the Pampa Lady Harvesters beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Pampa.
The Lady Bulldogs posted a 4-14 record during non-district play, while the Lady Harvesters enter the game with a 10-10 record.
The Bulldogs (9-10) will also be on the road tonight taking on Bushland (9-8) in their final non-district game of the season.
The Falcons beat the Bulldogs before the Christmas break. However, the Bulldogs enter the contest with a little momentum from winning two straight games.
The Sanford-Fritch Lady Eagles (13-8 overall) will try to improve to 2-0 in District 1-2A play tonight against Amarillo River Road (9-11) in Fritch beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The Lady Eagles opened district play with a win over Childress while River Road opened district with a win over Amarillo Highland Park.
The Eagles will host Wheeler in a non-district contest tonight beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The West Texas High Comanches finished non-district play with an impressive 15-5 record and will look to carry that momentum into District 1-1A play.
The Comanches open District 1-1A play tonight in Booker with tip off scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
After opening District 1-1A play with a loss to Gruver last Friday, the West Texas High Lady Comanches will look to even their district mark against the Booker Lady Kiowas.
The Lady Kiowas opened district play with a loss to Canadian.
The Lady Comanches and Lady Kiowas are scheduled to tip off at 6:30 p.m. in Booker.
