Fritch residents have become concerned that Monte Leggett of Fritch has taken the place of Police Chief Kirk Coker.
Reassuring the community, Fritch City Manager Bobby Lamb stated, “Chief Coker is still the chief.”
According to Leggett, things are still the same at Fritch Police Department.
Lamb announced Kirk Coker as the Chief of Police for the City of Fritch in 2011.
Coker has been with the Fritch Police Department since August 22, 2011.
Coker came from Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Department and resigned from his position as Deputy in 2011, replacing Terry Cox, who resigned as Chief of Police on July 29, 2011.
Cox served for the Fritch Police Department for a total of fourteen years.
