Clyde W. Bruce, 85 of Borger, died Wednesday July 18th at Amarillo.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday July 21st at First Christian Church with Rev. James Stephens, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Clyde was born Dec. 16, 1926, at Enid, Oklahoma to Clyde Oliver and Beulah Vinyard Bruce. He married Geneva Deanie See June 20, 1948, at Garber, Oklahoma. They came to Borger in 1949. He worked as an area supervisor for Sinclair Petroleum and British Petroleum. He loved working in the yard and traveling. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Company H 505th Parachute Infantry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Step dad Sherman LaFon, wife Deanie 2002 and a step brother Donal LaFon.
He is survived by daughters Jan McFerrin and husband Kenneth of Borger, Debbie Williams and husband Ernest of Stinnett, Traci Honaker and husband Ira of Borger. Sister Glenda Vallentine of Lincoln, Nebraska. Brother- in law Richard See of Flower Mound, TX. A special friend Ruth West of Dumas, Texas. Grandchildren Steve Williams, Kevin Honaker, Kristen Honaker and Lynsee Womble. Great grandchildren Lincoln Honaker and Colin Williams.
