BORGER - Clyde T. “Plunky” Durham, Jr., 78, died Nov. 13, 2011, in Amarillo, TX.Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at St. Mark CME Church in Pampa with Rev. Darren Willis, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with military honors courtesy of the U.S. Army, Fort Hood, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mr. Durham was born April 29, 1933, in Pampa, where he attended Pampa schools. He was employed by Hardin & Roth Service Station. He was a mechanic for Waukesha-Pearce, and later worked for Phillips Petroleum Refinery as a heavy equipment operator. He worked for the City of Pampa, retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. Mark CME Church in Pampa. Clyde enjoyed hunting rabbits and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.Survivors include seven sons, Clyde Durham and Marvin Oliver, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Jerry Norman and wife Vickey of Borger, Joe Graves of Pampa, Virgie Hunter and Ronnie Hunter, both of Denver, Colo., and Quinton Young of Fort Worth; five daughters, Kaylo Harrison and husband Clifford of Fort Worth, Regina “Reggie” Smith of Jacksonville, Ark., Janice Pitts and Evelyn Ridley, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Deloris Crawford of Arlington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a sister Juanda Newell and husband Kenneth of San Antonio.He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Eddie L.
