Clarence Harvey Jasper, 87, of Stinnett died Wednesday, January 2, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the Church of Christ in Stinnett with Zeb Sailors, former minister, and Robert Clay, minister officiating. Interment will be at the Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Clarence was born to William Lawyer and Agnes (Chisum) Jasper on Nov. 12, 1925, in Hutchinson County. He married Mildred Plumlee on July 12, 1975, in Borger. He was a longtime resident of Hutchinson County. Clarence was a foreman at Hutchinson County Pct. 3, and a full time cowboy. He was a former member of the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Posse. Clarence was a donor and sponsor on Senior Trips. He had a soft touch for kid’s organizations.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Mildred; sons, Cary Jasper of Stinnett and Luke Lawrence and wife Debbie of Dallas; daughters, Beth Lawrence of Stinnett; and Desire’ Keasler of Soper, Okla.; 17 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
There will be a visitation with the family on Friday, January 4, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Borger.
