Charles "Chuck" Edward Washburn

Charles “Chuck” Edward Washburn, Jr., 91 of Borger died Friday, September 27 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. , Wednesday, October 2 , at the First Baptist Church in Borger. C.E.’s sons, Larry Washburn, Terry Washburn, and Doug Washburn will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
C.E. was born on May 31, 1922, in Foard, Texas to Charles Edward and Irene Washburn, Sr. He served in World War II, in the Navy, with the 4th Special Battalion of the Seabees. He was a supervisor at Phillips Petroleum Company. C.E. is a member of the First Baptist Church in Borger.
C.E. is preceded in death by his wife, Bess, his daughter, Cheryl Dacus, and his grandson, Damon Dacus.
Survivers are his sons, Larry Washburn and wife Sandra of Baytown, Texas; Terry Washburn and wife Ruthie of Cedar Park, Texas; and Doug Washburn and wife Janie of Palestine, Texas; Eleven grandchildren, and Eight Great Grandchildren.
