Chamber planning Christmas events

November 5, 2011

Plans are currently in the works for the Borger Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade, and those wishing to participate can pick up their forms now!
The parade is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 5. Entry forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce office, located at 613 North Main in Borger.
All entries will need to be decorated in a holiday motif and are asked to depict the Christmas season.
Floats, bands, drill teams, and horses are eligible, and other type of entries are also permissible at the chamber’s discretion.
The only Santa Claus in the parade will be provided by the Borger Chamber of Commerce.
The parade will take place at night, and entrants are encouraged to use lighting to greatly enhance their entries.
Holiday music is also encouraged to help the overall theme come together.
Beverly Benton, CEO of the Borger Chamber of Commerce, said businesses, clubs, churches, and individuals are invited to take part in this fun way to begin the Christmas season.
The Chamber of Commerce will also sponsor the business and residential Christmas lighting contest again this year.
These forms are also now available for those who wish to participate.
“The Chamber encourages all to participate by planning early,” Benton said.
