C.E. “Ed” Cole

C.E. “Ed” Cole, 85, of Borger, passed away, Tuesday, March 28, 2012.
Clinie Edward Cole was born Saturday, September 25, 1926 in Tahlequah, OK to Orlando and Henrietta (Cupp) Cole. He was a supervisor and plant manager at Phillips Philblack plant. Mr. Cole also volunteered at Golden Plains Community Hospital for twenty years and was a volunteer for HutchCares. Ed Cole married Dortha Faye Morrison on April 1, 1963 at First Baptist Church in Borger, TX. Mr. Cole served his country in WWII and Korea as a member of the United States Army where he received a Purple Heart and a Silver Star.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy Jean; his son, Gerald Cole; his son in law, Phillip Baker; and all of his brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Dortha; one son, Ricky Cole and wife, Tina of Fairbanks, AK; two daughters, Judy Baker of Borger, TX and Becky Bell and husband, Ken of Lynnwood, WA; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and special nephew Carl Smith and wife, Lee of Borger, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger, TX with Rev. Johnathan Back officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery in Borger, TX.
Family visitation will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Friday, March 30, 2012 at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger, TX.
Mr. Cole will lie in state at Brown Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger, TX on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
