Bushland hangs on to beat Borger 63-57

On Tuesday evening, the Bushland Falcons held off a fourth period rally by the Borger Bulldogs to get the 63-57 win in the final non-district contest for both teams at Bushland.
A sluggish second period by the Bulldogs led to Bushland taking an eight point, 34-26, lead at halftime.
The Bulldogs bounced back in the second half and pull back to within one point, 57-58, with under a minute to go in the game.
However, the Falcons found a way to hang on and send the Bulldogs to 9-11 for the season. while Bushland improves to 10-8.
Junior Jamon Hearon led the Bulldogs with 33 points, followed by Kolter Newton with seven points.
The Bulldogs begin District 1-3A play next Tuesday, January 17th hosting the Perryton Rangers at 7:30 p.m. at Tex Hanna Gym.
