Bulldogs run through Rangers, finish District 1-3A play undefeated

Friday evening, the Borger Bulldogs running game and smothering defense had its way against the Perryton Rangers, resulting in a 32-14 win at Bulldog Stadium.
Borger senior Ty Brown used 36 carries to rush for 304 yards and four touchdowns, while the Rangers were held to just 160 yards of total offense.
The win allows the Bulldogs to finish District 1-3A play with a 3-0 record and gives the team a 10-1 district mark in three seasons Rusty Purser has been head coach. The Bulldogs have also won their third straight District 1-3A title.
The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 6-4 overall record, while Perryton ends with a 4-6 record.
Both the Bulldog and Rangers will take part in Bi-District playoff action next week.
The Bulldogs will compete in the 3A Division I bracket where they will take on Lubbock Cooper with the game tentatively scheduled for next Friday at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium in Canyon beginning at 7:30 p.m. Perryton with take on Lubbock Estacado in the 3A Division II bracket.
