Brown commits to play football for Henderson State

January 25, 2012

On Monday, Borger High School senior Ty Brown verbally committed to play collegiate football for the Henderson State University Reddies in Arkadelphia, Ark.
Brown will make the second Borger Bulldog to commit to the university this week, after teammate Miles McKinney committed to Henderson State on Sunday.
In 2011, Brown established himself as one of the best running backs in West Texas by rushing for over 1200 yards with 15 touchdowns and earn District 1-3A Offensive MVP honors, despite missing over three games due to a leg injury.
Brown was a three year letterman for the Bulldogs, where he was a running back and played in the secondary on defense.
Henderson State is a Division II and is a part of the Great American Conference.
In 2011, the Reddies went 6-4 and are head coached by Scott Maxfield.
