Broncos top the Comanches 2-1

On Monday evening, the West Texas High Comanches gave up just one hit in their non-district contest with the Clarendon Broncos.
Despite the good pitching effort, the Comanches still found themselves in the losing column 2-1. due to a couple of costly errors.
Jess Shields got the start on the pitcher’s mound for the Comanches. The senior did a good job not giving up an earned run, while allowing just one hit and striking out three Bronco batters.
Chase Elliott put the Comanches on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning on a RBI double.
The Broncos responded by scoring one run in the fourth inning and the go-ahead run in the sixth inning.
The Comanches drop to 4-4 on the 2012 season and will next travel to take on Lockney on Saturday beginning at noon.
