BPD still seeking answers in China Dynasty case

The following is a surveillance photo from the evening of April 15, 2012, at the China Dynasty Restaurant where a burglary occurred. The Borger Police Department is still working on solving this case. Any tips people have on the case can be called in to BPD or Crime Stoppers.

The Borger Police Department is still seeking answers in the recent burglary of the China Dynasty Restaurant.
As of Monday, Lt. Anthony Griffin of BPD said there have been a lot of calls, but no real developments to report at this time. He said tips that have come in are being actively investigated and the investigation is ongoing.
The burglary occurred on Sunday, April 15, 2012. That day at around 9:40 a.m., officers from Borger PD responded to China Dynasty at 1030 Megert Circle in reference to the incident.
Lt. Griffin said that when officers began investigating the burglary, it was found the incident occurred at around 1:20 a.m. that Sunday morning.
He said it is believed the suspect entered the business through the rooftop using a rope to gain entry from the roof.
“Once inside of the business, the suspect took an undisclosed amount of currency and then left through the rear exit of the business,’ he said.

Those calling in with tips to Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous. However, those wishing to receive a reward for a potential tip are asked to leave a working reliable contact number so that a Crime Stoppers representative can contact the person at a later date and time in reference to reward information in the event that the tip proves reliable.
